To setup LivMote on a wifi network, we ask for a WPA2 (or WPA / WEP) network running on the 2.4Ghz frequency.
Different ports are required to allow the device to hit specific services on the internet such as time sync or ScreenMeIn portal to capture temperature scans and errors. Currently the required ports to allow Livmote to work on a network are:
NTP (port 123, udp) -> *.pool.ntp.org This allows our device to sync with the world's current time. NTP is the golden standard to sync time across the internet.
ScreenMeIn Portal (https) (port 443, tcp) -> https://livmote-prod.azurewebsites.net This allows our device to upload temperature scans to our portal.
DNS (port 53, udp) -> DNS server provided by DHCP
Used to resolve our domain name.
Remote Support (port 57331, udp) -> vpn.sodalabs.co (Optional)
This allows internal LivMote specialists to connect to the device and support remotely.
To ensure that our device gets internet access. If your network applies any Mac Address whitelisting, please include our device Mac Address into the list. You can find the Mac Address on the back of the device:
LAN:0008ED13627A ← Ethernet MAC Address
WLAN:DC72233A3D34 ← Wi-Fi MAC Address
If your network requires IP whitelisting, you can use the Static IP function in the device network setup on portal.screenmein.com in the device details page.
